- 10 a.m. – State Rep. Frank Hornstein (DFL-Minneapolis) will introduce an omnibus supplemental budget bill tomorrow that will provide needed funds to help local communities fill more potholes after this harsh winter. The bill will also address statewide rail safety and include more resources for “Corridors of Commerce” for statewide highway projects.
- 10:30 a.m. – Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson, Somali Health Solutions Executive Director Asli Ashkir, and Rep. Thomas Huntley (DFL-Duluth), will hold a Roundtable discussion with navigator group helping Somali communities in the Twin Cities apply and enroll in health insurance at the Somali Health Solutions.
- 11 a.m. – House in session.
- Noon – Senate in session.
- Noon – Minnesota Legislative Auditor Jim Nobles talks about “The Watch Dog: Finding Government Waste and Recommending Improvements,” at the U of M’s Humphrey Institute.
- Noon – Rally for Action Day to End Violence Against Women, State Capitol, Rotunda.
- 2 p.m. – Rep. Ryan Winkler (DFL-Golden Valley) will join local fire fighters and health advocates to ask for immediate action on toxic chemicals as a part of the GIVE TOXICS THE BOOT campaign….The event will pay tribute to firefighters who have passed from occupational related illnesses, some linked to toxic chemical exposure. Organizers of the event hope to raise public awareness about the issue of toxic flame-retardants, fire fighters unique exposures and the need for strong government leadership on regulating toxic chemicals.
- 4 p.m. – Immigration reform advocates hold rally in support of passing “Driver’s License Bill.” State Capitol, Rotunda.

- 10 a.m. – DFL Chairman Ken Martin meets with editors of the Isanti-Cambridge WHAT and the ECM Post Review.
- 10:30 a.m. – MNsure’s interim CEO, Scott Leitz, will be joined by navigators and consumers to announce a special week of enrollment opportunities for “Young Invincibles” at a press conference at St. Paul College in St. Paul.
- 11:30 a.m. – DFL Chairman Ken Martin meets with the editor of the Forest Lake Times.
- 3 p.m. – Hundreds of working Minnesotans will gather in the Capitol Rotunda to rally in support of low-wage working families and retirees. The rally will serve as the focal point of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Lobby Day, which includes members who provide care and support for Minnesota families in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, in-home settings, schools, and the Twin Cities’ largest public and private buildings.
