- The Senate Capital Investment Committee tours Luverne, Marshall, Montevideo, Appleton and Willmar.
- 9 a.m. – The Prison Population Task Force will meet, Room 10, State Office Building.
- 9 a.m. – The House and Senate Public Safety and Crime Prevention committee will meet to discuss a focus on reform of controlled substances.
- 9 a.m. – Secretary of State Steve Simon will meet with Menahga Civic & Commerce Association, Blueberry Pines Golf, Dining & Event Center, 39161 U.S. 71, Menahga.
- 10 a.m. – The Legislative Health Care Workforce Commission meets, Room 200, State Office Building.
- 10 a.m. – Lt. Gov. Smith will meet with Minnesota delegates to the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference at the Science Museum.
- 10:30 a.m. – Secretary of State Steve Simon will hold a roundtable discussion with David Collins, executive director of the Hubbard County Regional Economic Development Commission, and other Park Rapids Area community leaders. Hubbard County Courthouse, Board Room, 301 Court Avenue, Park Rapids.

- 3:30 p.m. – Secretary of State Steve Simon will meet with Polk County Attorney Greg Widseth and Safe at Home Application Assistant. County Attorney’s Office, 816 Marin Ave., Ste. 125, Crookston.
- 5 p.m. – The Humphrey School of Public Affairs Presents, “The Right Deal for America: Why It’s Time to Rewrite the Economic Rules” with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. The visit of Richard Trumka is of special significance for the Humphrey School, as the School hosts the AFL-CIO Chair in Labor Policy, currently held by Professor Morris Kleiner. The chair was established through a major donation from the AFL-CIO to the Humphrey School in 1983, in honor and memory of the School’s namesake, Hubert Humphrey. 5 – 6:30 p.m., reception, 6:30 p.m., public lecture. - Nov. 19 – Thursday’s funeral service for arts patron and department store heir Bruce Dayton will be live-streamed from the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Av., in downtown Minneapolis. The funeral, at 4 p.m., will be streamed at thechurch’s website for those who can’t attend.
- Nov. 19 – The Hennepin County DFL Senior Caucus will meet from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Maria’s Cafe, 1113 E Franklin Ave., Minneapolis.
- Nov. 20 – Chelsea Clinton will be at Red Balloon Bookshop, 891 Grand Ave., St. Paul, at 5p.m. to sign her new book, “It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired, and Get Going!” The book signing is free with a book purchase. - Dec. 13 – Moms Demand Action: How to Keep Our Kids Safe. This free forum on preventing gun violence will be held at 2 p.m.at the Dakota County Library, 1340 Wescott Rd., Eagan. Guest speakers include Sen. Jim Carlson and Rep. Dan Schoen.

- Dec. 1 – Senate District 37 DFL will host a Chili Cook Off and Silent Auction at 6:30 p.m. at the Club West Club House, 11211 Club W Parkway, Blaine.
- Dec. 2 – SD54 DFL, River Oaks Golf Course, 11099 S Hwy 61, Cottage Grove, 6 – 8 p.m.
- Dec. 13 – Senate District 58 DFL will host its winter fundraiser from 4 – 7 p.m. at Carbone’s, 10 N 8th St., Farmington. The tickets, which are $20, are available by mail: SD 58 DFL, 8251 166th St. W, Lakeville, MN 55044.
- Jan. 29 – Congressional District 2 DFL will host A Taste of Mardi Gras. The event takes place from 7 – 11 p.m. at Neisen’s Bar & Grill, 4851 W 123rd St., Savage. Suggested contribution is $40 and tickets can be purchased online at www.dflcd2.com.
