Selcer has delivered on promises
Posted by SD48 DFL Communications Team in Letters to the Editor, News, Our Candidates & Elected Officials
Since Rep. Yvonne Selcer was elected in 2012, she has delivered on her promises to the people of northern Eden Prairie and southern Minnetonka. Our state budget is balanced, the billions of dollars owed our schools have been paid back, Minnesota has its largest rainy day fund ever and our state has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country.
Rep. Selcer is a mother, former teacher and School Board chair who especially understands the importance of a strong education system. She voted to pass free all-day kindergarten, which is saving individual Minnesota families thousands of dollars and ensuring their children get a great start in life. She authored a bill (which passed 130-0) that makes sure no child will go hungry at school, and she voted to freeze college tuition.
Her ability to bring people together and find common sense solutions is reflected in the high-profile endorsements she has received from Democrats, Republicans and Independents. These include Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former Republican Minnetonak Mayor Karen Anderson and Tom Horner, the former Independence Party candidate for governor.
Don’t believe a word of the toxic mailers against Rep. Selcer. Many of these are paid for by out-of-state corporate interests who want to buy our Legislature for their own financial gain. Instead, join the trusted Minnesota groups who support Rep. Selcer and re-elect her Nov. 4.
