This Year You Can Vote Absentee — With No Excuse
Posted by SD48 DFL Communications Team in Issues, News, Voting & the Election
This year, there’s no excuse for people not voting this November. Why? Because, it’s easier than ever to cast your vote and make your voice heard.
Why are we saying that? Minnesotans no longer need to give an excuse to cast absentee ballots if they don’t want to or can’t easily vote at their polling places on Election Day.
No excuse absentee balloting opens up voting and makes it more accessible to people’s busy lifestyles:
No excuse absentee balloting makes it easy to vote for seniors and people with disabilities, college students and those unsure if they will be in their precinct on Election Day.
Voters can vote absentee by mail, in person, or by having a person they know pick up and deliver their ballot. There is a timeframe in which voters can switch their votes. Information is available here.
You can track the progress of your absentee ballot with the absentee ballot lookup tool at mnvotes.org If there is a problem with your ballot, election officials will send a replacement.
