Obama’s budget proposal will take aim at the wealthy
On January 17, Steven Mufson and Juliet Eilperin with the Washington Post wrote a blog post with the above title. In it, they discuss President Obama’s plan to propose raising $320 billion in taxes over the next 10 years from wealthy individuals (check out our earlier posts on how regressive our country’s tax structures are) and big financial institutions to help middle class and lower-income families.
The article goes into the probable details of the plan that President Obama will be unveiling during his State of the Union speech Tuesday, January 20, 2014, at 8:00 PM CT.
