Minnesota’s Job Situation is Doing Better

Here’s our second post debunking the Republican doom and gloomers on what’s happening with our economy. Again, we understand things can be done to make the situation stronger.  But, it wasn’t returning to the failed policies that created a major deficit we’ve just dug the state out of that made this happen. It was the policies of Gov. Dayton and our DFL leaders.

Jobs

  • 145,000 more jobs created since Gov.  Dayton took office in January 2011
  • The state created nearly 46,000 jobs in the past year, one of the fastest-growing states in the nation
  • 2.8 million jobs in Minnesota – more than ever before
  • Twin Cities’ jobless rate at 4 % is lowest in U.S.
  • State unemployment rate is at 4.5% – the last time it was this low was 7 years ago
