  • House DFL Leader Paul Thissen will travel to Park Rapids, Bemidji and Baudette.
  • 8 a.m. – Gov. Dayton will provide remarks and present a proclamation at the IV South American Trade Forum 2015.
  • 11 a.m. – MNsure will hold a walk through with reporters before open enrollment begins
  • 12:30 p.m. – Social lunch for DFL Seniors. Riverside Perkins Family Restaurant I-94 & Riverside Ave, Minneapolis.
  • 3 p.m. – Legislative Energy Commission will meet to discuss fracking.
  • 5 p.m. – CNBC airs undercard debate featuring Republican candidates for president.
  • 7 p.m. – The top GOP candidates for president debate. The debate will air on CNBC.
  • 7:20 p.m. (EST) – Congressman Tim Walz will take part in the Congressional Football Game which supports charities that benefit military and law enforcement families, including the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, Our Military Kids, and A Advantage 4 Kids. Teams feature Members of Congress and former NFL players vs. the U.S. Capitol Police. Watkins Recreation Field, 420 12th St SE, Washington, D.C.

  • Nov. 11 – Minnesota DFL Education Priorities and Progress – A Town Hall Event, 6:30 p.m. Hosted by the Senate District 61 DFL Central Committee. The event will cover recent activity in the Minnesota legislature and progress toward the DFL Action Agenda, along with hopes and dreams for the 2016 session. Parents of school age children and taxpayers that provide education support through the state budget and local levies are encouraged to attend, become informed, ask questions, and discuss ideas with legislators and key communicators. Panelists include: Rep. Thissen; Sen. Torres Ray; and Josh Crosson from Education Minnesota.

  • Nov. 1 – CD 1 DFL will host its Autumn Dinner with Congressman Tim Walz. The keynote speaker is DNC Vice Chair R.T. Rybak.   • Nov. 4 – CD3 DFL Fall Fundraising Event: An Evening with Vice President Walter Mondale, moderated by Don Shelby. On Stephen Colbert’s show, Clinton said she would let big banks fail as president. She cited support from the New York Times’ Paul Krugman for her Wall Street plan. “They have to know that yes they will fail. If they are too big to fail then they may have to be broken up,” she said of the big banks.

  • Hillary said her presidency would not bring a return to the 1990s: “We’re not going back. I’m not running for my husband’s third presidency, or President Obama’s third term. I’m running for my first term.”
