DFL 48 Candidates: “Change Makers”

State Senate candidate Laurie Mckendry and State Representative candidate Yvonne Selcer were featured in Sunday’s StarTribune. Columnist Lori Sturdevant cited them, and five other women, as candidate who can bring much needed change to the Legislature.“They’re rooted in business …. data driven empiricists … profamily …. they’re disgusted with gridlock and think they can do better.” Tori Hill, also our candidate for State Representative, fits this description too.
But, as the article points out, they can’t be change makers if they don’t win. Both McKendry’s and Selcer’s races are rated as toss ups by political pundits. Hill is running a strong race too. We have the candidates who can get the job done in the legislature, but they have to get there first. Plain and simple, they cannot do it without your help.
